The orthosis is made of 2 components:
• rigid plastic component with two metal splints and lined with medium density polyethylene foam
• textile component, with a protective role.
For fixation the orthosis is provided with:
- 2 straps with hook and loop fastener on the foot
- 3 straps with hook and loop fastener at the level of the leg.
It is used in sprains, stable fractures and traumas of the foot and ankle,
Achilles tendon disorders, postoperative recovery.
The rigid component is made of stiff, durable, washable plastic material with adherent sole. The textile component is made of a three-layer laminated textile. The laminated textile ensemble behaves like a moisture regulator, ensuring a quick transfer of the moisture to outward.

The rigid plastic component, which represents the sole of the orthosis, has
a semi-round shape for an easy rolling on the ground, and is provided with
striations for a non-slip effect.
The laminated ensemble behaves like a moisture regulator: the cotton fabric
absorbs body sweat and transfers it to the PU foam and outward.
