The orthosis is made of textile, one single component surrounding the trunk and the shoulder, together with arm and forearm. The textile material has two faces, the orthosis being able to be used on both limbs by turning backwards and repositioning the hook and loop fasteners.
The orthosis is a support for the forearm, arm and shoulder. Due to its particular shape and the anatomical surface which it covers, it does not allow arm abduction and external rotation.
It is used to immobilize the arm and forearm in case of sprains, luxations or fractures of the scapulohumeral joint, contusions, for postoperative immobilization. It is the equivalent of Dessault’s bandage.
